Are you trying to reach moms with your brand, product or service? Today’s moms are connected. They are online, sharing information, asking for recommendations from other moms and making their opinions about your brand known. If you want to connect with this sought-after target market, you need to meet them where they are–online–and communicate with them on their terms. Moms want authentic opinions, mom-to-mom recommendations, and useful content about your brand, not a sales pitch.
Weber Shandwick recently published a survey of Millennial Moms, mothers who were born between 1978 and 1994. According to the survey, “Approximately one in five moms (22%) is a Millennial Mom, accounting for approximately 9 million people. Consider these statistics from the report:
- Millennial Moms have an average of 3.4 social media accounts.
- They spend an 17.4 hours per week with their social networks, 2 hours more than they spend watching TV.
- They are frequently asked for opinions about their purchases by friends and other moms, and they regularly offer unsolicited reviews of products and services.
- More than 90 percent of Millennial Moms make the final decision on grocery, food and beverage purchases or share the final decision with another adult in the home.
